Day 06 → Whatever tickles your fancy

The last season of Lost is tonight so it's tickling my fancy right now... haha. I really can't wait for it. I don't need every question answered. I just want to sit back and enjoy the ride and the characters that I have invested so much in. Of course I would like it to blow my brain but, honestly, it already has.

I had a little mini-marathon of all the episodes that I have purchased over the last few years and watching them I was reminded of the greatness of Lost. Even though I knew what was going to happen I was still on the edge of my seat and enjoying every minute of the episodes. Of course looking for clues that I may have missed too.

I love this show... and I will be so so sad when it's over. At least I'll have the memories and the DVDs.

I love quotes... it's amazing how one small sentence can change your perspective, make you stop and appreciate the world around you, inspire you to strive for greatness or simply make you laugh.

I can't lie though and say that I actually remember these quotes. The only one that is popping in my head right now is from my favorite poem - "To Think of Time..." because I do that a lot.

Ok, this is going to show how much of a dork I truly am. I wouldn't say I have one favorite book but a favorite series - STAR WARS NOVELS!! I said it! I love them because it takes me back to this world that I love and back to the characters I love.

Some of my favs: The Thrawn Trilogy, The Courtship of Princess Leia (so cheesy, but ooh sooo good).

I do have a favorite poem which is a little more intellectual. Walt Whitman's To Think of Time

It's all about life and death and how the world continues without you once you're gone but you are always a part of it. It's eerie but beautiful.

This was easier than I thought it was going to be since I'm kind of a TV junkie. My favorite TV show of all time would have to be LOST!!

I have never so invested in a show, the characters and the storyline. I love trying to figure out what is going to happen next or what has happened in the past. It grabs my brain and shakes it. It has drama, action, intrigue, romance, friendship, EVERYTHING!!!I love it and I am sooo sad to see it end but what a ride it has been.

Wow! I think this is just as hard as my favorite song. I have favorites for every mood I'm in. Sense & Sensibility when I need some romance, Lord of the Rings for action, and Galaxy Quest if I need a laugh.

The one, though, that has withstood the test of time is Star Wars: The Original Trilogy. I watched every movie everyday for about 2 years when I was little and whenever I feel like watching it I pop it in and I'm transported to a galaxy far far away. My first crush was on Han Solo, he was just perfection to me... and what little girl didn't want to be Princess Leia? It didn't just stop with the movies too. I started reading the books, played all the video games. It became a whole world too me and it was a wonderful and exciting world. Nothing can quite compare.
